Diagnostics – Prevention

Ideally, our patients visit our dental office not only with complaints, but also with a screening request.

Why is diagnostics important?

Assessing the condition of the oral cavity and teeth is essential before starting dental treatments.

With regular screening tests, minor problems can be detected in a timely manner, and more serious lesions requiring major intervention can be prevented. In addition to the diseases of the oral cavity, we also have to consider the other conditions of our patients: we have to take into account the oral manifestation of these conditions. To get a full picture of our patient, laboratory examinations, microbiological and histological examinations may be performed, if necessary.

We put a lot of effort into improving the bacterial flora of the mouth and the metabolism of the jawbones in a complex way. Both have a cardinal role in tooth retention and in reducing inflammation around implants.

Digital imaging (2-D or 3-D X-rays) are important tools of successfully finding dental foci. These tools also enable the accurate diagnosis of potential diseases of the teeth, bones and sinuses. Our office enables our doctors to establish the correct diagnosis and prepare the necessary treatment plan by taking the most state-of-the-art three-dimensional X-ray.

Thanks to our modern scanning equipment, the radiation dose to patients is reduced by a fraction compared to a conventional CT equipment.
